Non-financial Benefits –
The Liberty Adviser Network is able to offer the following non-financial benefits:
Lead generation
While these may be termed ‘non-financial’ we certainly think that lead generation will have a positive financial impact on your business.
National agreements
Our national scale as a dealer enables us to do deals with national organizations. Being part of a group makes this possible – and it has real benefits: more business written.
Retaining our clients
Trading clients with other Liberty advisers means you can ensure that clients that move within New Zealand are well served, and you can be rewarded by receiving clients through the exchange programme that move into your area. It is an entirely voluntary programme – but it helps keep persistency high and maintain high service levels.
Referring to specialists
We simply cannot be experts in everything. Another dimension of our work is a specialist register. We will keep a schedule of cases, conditions, and fields in which you operate by keeping a keyword register. This enables you to search the database for advisers that may have, for example, experience placing a client with Hodgkins disease, or specific experience in business cases for intellectual property firms. Using a referral process to specialists can increase both your chances of success and the value of the business written.
Multiple Site work for Business Clients
Even small businesses can be multi-site. As workplace financial services is now a major focus because of KiwiSaver there are increasing group insurance opportunities. Once the preserve of major national or international companies, you can now participate in this market because Liberty delivers a large virtual network providing you with the ability to serve multiple sites – by referring to others – and enjoying referrals from others.
Recruitment Services
Training abounds – but what is hard is recruiting new people. While financial services is a very rewarding profession – intellectually, socially, and financially – it does entail risks. Few people achieve the interpersonal skills necessary to be a successful independent adviser. With the support of our preferred product suppliers we have access to a stream of new recruits brought into the industry through a professional programme of selection and education.
Annual conference
What adviser group would not offer the annual conference? Perhaps what is really surprising is that our conference is run by advisers. Not insurers or trainers.
Client-base farming
We offer a client-base farming service. Many of our advisers have large client bases. Sometimes they do not want the management issues that attend recruiting advisers to service client bases – yet they do not wish to let go of an important asset, or stop servicing these valuable clients.
Full time support
Our dealer group secretariat and General Manager are based in Auckland and will serve the interests of members nationwide.
Compliance process
While there are many ‘best practice’ processes and procedures in place, there can be no guarantee of full compliance with future regulations until those regulations have been written, and are fully understood by the market. However, Liberty will provide a fully compliant process as soon as it is able.
This will start from the commencement of the sales process and operate right through to the end of the client relationship, thereby reducing compliance costs to assist advisers to build a better business.
Audit process
Once the compliance process is in place, we will develop an audit process to ensure that it is being used properly.
