Vanessa Hayes
In 1984, Vanessa exited the Public Service to begin a life insurance career and a Macadamia research and development business. In 1999, Vanessa extended her business interests to include commercial property development providing professional office space in Gisborne for 7-8 small businesses including Life Broker Services Ltd; plus a location for Torere Macadamias Ltd processing and packaging facility.

Vanessa’s business experience and knowledge over the last 30 years provides great empathy and understanding of client needs and the structures necessary for financial security and peace of mind. She specialises in providing appropriate personal, business and insurance ownership advice supported with properly structured personal and/or business risk management plans. Vanessa uses Life, Trauma, Disability, Income, Business and Family insurance protection, Medical insurance and Kiwisaver where appropriate for client’s needs.  

Vanessa’s businesses successfully survived the 1987 Stock market crash, the death of business partner John Chamberlain in 1998, the recent Global Financial crisis and her own personal cancer crisis in 2012-13.  Astute planning also ensures that although Vanessa is important to the business, skilled and competent staff, ensures secure succession planning will continue to provide the same professional service with or without her. This being the ultimate security for all clients – business continuity.
